Does the club have a memorial garden?

« Go Back

Yes, we do.

The memorial garden is a quiet and peaceful area located to the right of the Colin Bell Stand reception, (entrance U) in the heart of the Etihad Stadium. It is available to all fans to take time to remember their loved ones.

To assist us in maintaining the appearance of the memorial garden, and as we are unable to accept responsibility for the damage or loss of property left within it, we kindly ask that only temporary memorials, such as flowers, cards and scarves, are placed there. Due to the popularity of the garden we are sadly unable to allow permanent memorial plates, personal objects and planting.
To be asked to become a part of a supporter’s memory is an honour, and one that means much more than trophies and titles. It’s a responsibility that we undertake seriously and passionately. That’s why we do everything we can to ensure the privacy of our visitors, and to provide absolute sensitivity to their feelings at a very difficult time.

There is no charge for the use of the memorial garden and, on personal request, the Club Reverend can also hold a short private service, availability permitting. If you would like to make an appointment, please email
